Thank you so much for taking the time to come to come to school for the following events; phonics workshops Years 1 and Reception, parents evening
Reception staff are redeveloping the outdoor area after half term, they are looking for donations of the following items; plain bed sheets, empty spray bottle., big paint brushes (like to ones you use for home decorating) and loose fabric for the stage area.
The class with the best attendance was Grey class with 99.15%
The class with highest amount of readers was Jeffers Class with 91%

Staffing update
Congratulations to Mrs Sippitts who will be leaving us on Friday 14th  November to join Anker  Valley Primary Academy, it is wonderful to see her progress in one of our Fierte schools.
Remembrance Day Poppy Appeal
After half term, we will be supporting the Poppy Appeal in preparation for Remembrance Day.
A selection of items will be available for children to purchase, with prices ranging from 50p to £1. These items will be on sale, please put money in a named envelope as the poppies will be delivered to the classes
Your support helps raise funds for the Royal British Legion and honours those who have served and sacrificed.
On Remberance Day itself children can come to school in Girl Guide and Scouting uniforms to show support for this event. We will have a minutes silence to remember people that are missed by the children and for the sodliers of the past.

Future Dates
Flu vaccinations have been booked in for Thursday 4th December, further details wil be sent to parents after half term. 
Disco's are Tuesday 4th November, please ensure you have booked a ticket. If your child is in Reception they may come to school with a change of clothing  for the disco in a bag, school staff will help the chjildren get changed and take them straight to the hall for the fun!
Marnie Aston will be delivering part 2 of her training to parents  -  Wednesday 12th November at 9am at Heathfields. Part 2 with strategies and resources with A Child and School In Mind.  This would be more of an interactive workshop type session.
