What a lovely first full week we’ve had! The children have settled into their new classes brilliantly and have already shown PRIDE in everything they do. From trying their best in lessons to showing kindness and respect to others. We are so proud of the positive start they have made and look forward to seeing them continue to shine throughout the year.

Please login to the Arbor Parent App or Parent Portal to review and respond to the consents that apply to your child/ren. Please take a few moments to read each description carefully and record your decision (either approve or decline).
SUSTAINABILITY FRIDAYS
Helping our planet starts with small actions that make a big difference! Each term, every year group will take part in a 'Sustainability Friday' session, getting involved in fun activities that help care for our environment and school grounds.
Parents and carers are warmly invited to join their child from 2.30pm during these sessions.
Here are the dates for the autumn term. Please note some are on a Thursday:
YEAR 3 OPAL PARENT SESSION
Year 3 parents and carers, you are invited to come and discover why playtime is one of the most exciting parts of the school day at Wilnecote Junior Academy! Come and join your child for a special OPAL outdoor play session and experience first-hand the fun, creativity and adventure that OPAL brings to our school.
To ensure that all parents and carers have the opportunity to attend, we will be holding two sessions. These will take place on:
- Thursday 24th September at 2.15pm
- Thursday 5th November at 2.15pm
Please arrive via the main entrance and come dressed for the weather, whatever the forecast brings! We look forward to welcoming you.
RSE and PHSE Curriclulum Update
We have updated our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum in line with the latest guidance.
The curriculum supports pupils' personal development, wellbeing, relationships, health, safety and understanding of the world around them in an age-appropriate way.
Full details of the curriculum, including the topics covered in each year group, can be found on our school website. We encourage parents and carers to visit the website to learn more about what their children will be learning this year.
All year groups will have their RSE & PSHE lesson on a Monday morning.

This is a drop in session but we would be grateful if you could fill out the form by Tuesday 15th, 3:15pm so we have an idea for numbers.
PE REMINDER
A reminder that all children are required to come into school in their PE kit on the days that they have PE.
YEAR 5 AND YEAR 6
Landau Forte Academy QEMS would like to invite you to their Open Evening on Thursday 17 September 17:00 – 20:00hrs. Principal presentations are at 17:00, 17:40, 18:25 and 19:05hrs. You will have the opportunity to visit subject areas, speak with staff, and meet their students. Please see poster below for more details.
