Dear Parents and Carers,
We’re pleased to share that we’ve had another successful week at school! Our Reception children are now attending full-time, and they’ve settled in beautifully. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence growing and friendships forming already.
Meanwhile, Year 1 and Year 2 have been thoroughly enjoying the new lunchtime zones, which include:
- Physical Development activities
- Toys and imaginative play
- Creative Development stations
- Forest Area exploration
These zones are helping to enrich their play, encourage social interaction, and support their overall development.
To help us continue enriching these experiences, our staff are kindly asking for donations of the following items:
Mud Kitchen & Café Resources
- Old saucepans
- Autumn treasures such as conkers, pinecones, and acorns
Technology Exploration in Reception
- Old mobile phones
- Music devices (e.g. MP3 players, CD players)
- Gaming devices (e.g. handheld consoles)
If you have any of these items at home and are happy to donate, please drop them off at the school office. Your support makes a real difference to our children’s learning and play.
We would like to invite parents into school and share a story with their child at 2.40pm on the following dates;
29th September – Mckee parents
30thth September – Rosen parents
1st October – Donaldson parents
2nd October -Jeffers parents
3rd October – Ahlberg parents
6th October -Murphy parents
7th October Ross parents
8th October Child parents
9th October – Grey parents
Trial of sharing workbooks with parents; On Friday 10th October your child will bring home their English and Maths books to share with you. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work they’ve been doing in school.
Inside each book, you’ll find a feedback slip with space for both parental and pupil comments. We’d be very grateful if you could take a few moments over the weekend to complete these.
Please ensure the books are returned in your child's book folder on the Monday as they will be needed for lessons.
Just a quick reminder that dogs are not permitted on school grounds, including during drop-off and pick-up times. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of all our children, staff, and families.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
On Monday, 15th September, we’re excited to be launching the Staffordshire County Council’s Little Heroes attendance campaign. This initiative celebrates children who are:
Here
Everyday
Ready
On time
The campaign includes fun resources, certificates, and stickers to encourage great attendance, as well as support for children who may find attending school emotionally challenging.
The class with the best attendance was McKee with 99.09%
The class with the highest number of readers was Ross and Jeffers
Thank you for your continued support. Have a lovely weekend.
Mr Melloy
