As we come to the end of the term, I wanted to take a moment to thank you sincerely for your continued support. It has been a busy and rewarding few months, and the progress the children have made is a real credit to the partnership between home and school.
Your encouragement, engagement, and positivity make a tremendous difference—whether it’s supporting learning at home, attending events, or simply being there to cheer the children on. We truly value everything you do.
From all of us at Wilnecote Junior Academy, we wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with peace, joy, and special moments.
I hope you and your families enjoy a restful break, and I look forward to another wonderful term ahead.

Message from Staffordshire County Council - According to Humphrey
We have been made aware that several titles in the ‘According to Humphrey’ series contain a weblink at the back of the book that no longer directs people to information about the books. Instead, the link has been compromised and now leads to inappropriate and unsafe material that should not be accessed by children at any age.
Below are images of some of the front covers in the series to help you identify the books should you have any at home. The link can be found on the back cover or may be also included on a page inside.

For clarity and reassurance, we are not aware of any children who have accessed this link at our setting. We have already completed a search of the school and have found no copies of the book in our library or classroom reading areas.
Actions and Next Steps:
Thank you to the parent who raised this with us, and to all our families for being such strong partners with the school. We are grateful for your continued support in working together to keep our children safe.
PE kit
Please ensure that your child returns in January fully prepared for learning, with their PE kit (PE top, shorts/trousers and trainers) and outdoor learning shoes ready for the term ahead. Having the right equipment helps the children settle quickly and take part in all activities with confidence.
